Hello everyone following our Boy
Scout Troop, Troop 820. Today for our lovely bloggers are Parker G. (a.k.a. Chuck)
and Matt H, with Parker G. starting off. So today we started off with a great
breakfast of biscuits and gravy with sausage. (Kudos to Ben, Evan, Patrick, and
Mr. S, the food was great) After we departed the campsite (a little late, of
course), we trek on to the scenic Winding Stair Gap. From there, we snap a few
pictures with some Appalachian Trail beginning. Let’s just say, another 4 hours
uphill, we finally arrived to the peak called Siler's Bald, but it was completely worth it. The view
was just stunning, you could see others mountains for miles, and a cell tower
in the distance on one hill. We start our journey back down the hill toward the
cars and civilization. The troop flies down the hill with renewed vigor and steadily
makes good time down the treacherous slope.
And now we have Matt H.…
So, on the hike down Luke R., Ben
P., Seamus S., and Parker G. all went back to encourage Jarrett M. to accomplish
the difficult hike. When we got back, we ate spaghetti and meatballs. After dinner,
Evan A., Luke C., Mr. A., Mr. H., Mitchell M., Liam S., Jarrett Mi., and myself
all got in the water and swam around for about 45 minutes. After about 30
minutes of swimming Liam, Evan, Luke, Mitchell, and myself flipped over one
canoe and created an air pocket before heading into the air pocket and did that
for the rest of the time.
Signing
out,
Parker
G. (Chuck) and Matt H.

Sounds like an awesome day! Was Luke C. on dinner duty? I'd like him to make some spaghetti and meatballs for me. Yum!
What a great way to spend Father's Day. Thank you for all your detailed comments. We can actually envision what is going on there. Continue having fun, making memories, and being safe!
Thank you for encouraging my Jarrett! This is so good for him. Great post. :-)
Sounds like a great time! I heard my Dad finished the hike like a champ! I'm not surprised; he finished every hike I ever did 25 years ago. Thanks Dad!!
Looks like a great trip so far! Nice hat Mr. Kane :)

The Insider: What the bloggers failed to describe is the serenity of the woods. The sounds of silence, the sounds of the wilderness. But at night some might say there are chainsaws in these woods. Mr. Rick and Mr. Sween, snore so loud that it keeps all the Bears away. Grandpa Harold hiking 10 miles, awesome job..! And the Four Fat Men shamelessly walked back to camp, after only a 5 mile hike.
More Insider Information coming from the TRADER.
Looks like Mr R. brought Big Blue again this year? That Van deserves it's own merit badge, it has been on more trips than anyone other than "The Bus"!!
The old fat men are on to me...
